The AGM was held on Nov 10th.   The highlight of the evening was a presentation to John Shakespear, who stood down as chairman after 21 years of sterling work in this crucial role – 21 years which have witnessed an extraordinary development of the club both on and off the field which is in large measure due to his chairmanship.   In 2008, for the first time in the club’s history, we fielded four Saturday XIs in addition to the five existing junior sides, continuing the expansion of the club’s activities and giving an opportunity for even more members to participate in the sport each weekend.  The 2007 season ended with a mid table finish for the 1st team in Div 1, relegation from Div 3S for the 2nds and a mid-table Div 5S finish for the 3rds. Averages and statistics for the 2007 season are available from the Play-Cricket web site. Two Rolleston players, Steve Scrimshaw (17.9) and Stephen Broderick (22.0), were in the League 1 top 20 bowling averages.
